One for the Heart

A regular workshop/event taking place 4th Sunday of the month and organised by the GRDP but taught by a different teacher each month. The teachers offer their services to the GRDP project as a seva and we create a wonderful atmosphere. At present, it takes place at the Special Yoga Centre in Kensal Rise. The workshops last for 2 hours 30 minutes it is only £10.

Farewell Party in Honour of Shiv & Satya

Shiv Charan Singh and Satya Kaur have been serving the 3HO community in the UK for more than 25 years. In 2000, they opened the Kriya Centre, which provided Kundalini Yoga classes, training courses and support. They founded the Guru Ram Das Project, a registered charity, whose objectives are to bridge the Eastern and Western Sikh communities, run Kirtan programmes, and private yoga classes to special needs groups. They were also co-founders and served as chair persons of the Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. They co-founded and ran the Great British Yoga Festival for the past four years.

Shiv Charan and Satya will continue their inspirational work in Portugal, but they will be back in the UK regularly to teach and share.

Sat Nam and Greetings, we look forward to joining you in Europe at the Yoga Festival and at our 3HO International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA) Conference: "Within You, Without You," on Wednesday, July 30th, from 9AM to 6 PM. 

This is a day of unity for teachers. Unity with the teacher within you and unity with all teachers. Days like this are our opportunity to share with each other, build our European and global community of Kundalini Yoga teachers and serve each other.

Plan to Join Us. Make your plans, now, to be present with your peers for this day. A team of European teachers (teachers that were recognized for their service at the 2007 IKYTA Teachers Conference) have worked together for some time now to plan this conference. We included your feedback from last year to learn from each other and to build our community of teachers.

Perfect. When Yogi Bhajan first heard the acronym IKYTA, he pronounced it Ik-ta, and said "Perfect. It means Oneness." He said there was one IKYTA and that all teachers belonged to it; that “We want every teacher to be independent, but have a link." IKYTA isthat link and your 2008 Conference, “Within You, Without You,” is sure to both inspire you with new ways to be the best teacher you can be!

Teacher Awards. We would like to continue the tradition of recognizing teachers that have served and inspired you. We ask you to send us your teacher nominations for this year’s Teacher Recognition ceremony (…deadline for nominations is June 30, 2008.) Also, please include a paragraph on the reason you believe this teacher should be recognized at this time.

10 Euros. The cost for this day of community is just 10 Euros. As in the past, you will need to pay for your meals and lodging as necessary.

Teachers for Aquarius Camp

2nd - 9th August in La Fontaine, France

The Teachers for Aquarius Camp has been held regularly since 1989. It is designed to prepare you for the Age of Aquarius. The teachings of Yogi Bhajan are at the core of the seminar, and the practices will allow you to understand the teachings on a deep level within in a context of creativity. This year, the topic is THERE IS A WAY THROUGH EVERY BLOCK.

The venue La Fontaine („the source“) is the name of the 3HO site at 700m height in the Southern French Alps. It is a wonderful, spacious land with clear, fresh mountain air, fantastic water and loads of sun. We will live in Tipis and we will enjoy the bio-dynamic agricultural products grown on that same land. Our journey will conclude in Amritsar for the final days of teaching and meditation. Kundalini Yoga & Sacred Sound: Sat 9th Aug 10am - 4pm . Naad Yoga is the practice of cultivating union with the sound current. Awakening of the Self

International Kundalini Yoga Camp for Children and Teenagers

Sun 10th - Sun 17th Aug in Le Martinet, South France.

The venue is the headquarter and heart of the Kundalini Yoga School Amrit Nam Sarovar. It is situated in a valley surrounded by pinetree forests, with a small mountain stream, and it offers a beautiful environment for the activities awaiting the children like yoga, outdoor games, hiking, painting, camp fire, archery, cooking etc. The week is dedicated to the five elements fire, water, air, earth, and ether, which can be explored sensually in the great outdoors. The camp will be attended by five yogis and yoginis who all have a long experience in working with children, and who organised and held the last years's camp.

For the parents, there are interesting possibilities of having a good time, too. Nearby, there is the Eveil de Soi (see advert above) week of ANS, and there is the Yoga-manor La Fontaine 2-3 hours of car driving time away, inviting for relaxation and grounding. Or rather a holiday at the sea?

Gong Workshops

Fri 22nd & Sat 23rd August with Sheila Whittaker in the Alchemy

The Gong is a powerful & magical instrument. When played it produces the primordial sound "Om". The recipient is literally bathed in the sound, experiencing a "Gongbath". A Gongbath has a healing effect on the human body. As a result, the person being gonged feels calm, relaxed, and often automatically reaches the state of deep meditation.

Friday introductory evening workshop 22nd Aug 7.30pm - 9.30pm Fee £20, Concessions: £15. You will have the opportunity to experience a wonderful Gong class with leading Gong teacher Sheila Whittaker. The workshop will cover a brief history of the Gong and the effect of the Gong on the human body. Balancing the Male & Female Forces

A Journey Through the Chakras in Yucatan, Mexico
