White Tantric
Yoga
|
|
 |
|
 |
 |
" The beauty of White Tantric Yoga is that it is subtle, it is exalting,
and it works to give you
the mastery of life."
Yogi Bhajan
Yogi Bhajan taught that White Tantric
Yoga is made possible through a
connection to the Subtle Body of the
Mahan Tantric. That connection is made
through the presence of the Tantric
Facilitator and by the video
instructions recorded by the Mahan
Tantric several years before he left the
physical body. The Subtle Body
survives physical
death and, since his passing, White
Tantric Yoga has continued to offer an
opportunity to connect with the Mahan
Tantric, to overcome the obstacles of
the subconscious mind and to grow in the
light of truth.
At the
time of Yogi Bhajan’s passing, Satsimran
Kaur, the Director of White Tantric
Yoga, made an announcement concerning
the future of White Tantric Yoga, you
can read this here:
Mahan Tantric.pdf
"Whenever
you will come to these courses through
the video, you'll go through the energy,
but your subtle body will tune in with
my subtle body. So death for that
purpose will never, ever mean a
thing..."
Yogi Bhajan

About White Tantric
Yoga and Meditation

What to Expect
|
|
Our minds release 1000 thoughts per wink of an eye. Some of these thoughts get lost in the unconscious and some get stuck in the subconscious and affect the conscious mind. These thoughts become feelings, emotions, desires, fantasies or multi-realities. Instead of mastering our mind, often our mind and thoughts rule us and this pressure can eat us up inside.
White Tantric Yoga enables you to break through those subconscious blocks so that you can experience a happier and richer life. In the shortest time you can experience release from much of the burden and extra weight you carry in your head.
As you see and act on each moment with clarity, you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your life will change. Your mind, body and soul will act together as one. This is the path to personal freedom and awareness.

" Meditate, breathe. balance ..."
|
|
White Tantric Yoga is done in pairs as a group meditation. You will sit facing a partner and follow instructions for meditations given on video tape by the Mahan Tantric, Yogi Bhajan. Every course is facilitated, in person, by a representative of the Mahan Tantric.
Each workshop consists of between six and eight kriyas. A kriya is a meditation incorporating a yoga posture or hand position (mudra), a mental focus or breathing technique (pranayama), and/or a mantra. Sometimes the kriyas are accompanied by music. These kriyas vary in length from 31 minutes to 62 minutes and there are breaks between each kriya. The environment is peaceful and the atmosphere friendly, supportive and uplifting.

How it Works
|
|
Envision the energy of the universe as parallel or perpendicular in nature, like a cloth woven together. As a cloth becomes stronger when it is stretched on the diagonal, so is the White Tantric diagonal or 'Z' energy, stronger. This energy, when directed by the Mahan Tantric, cuts through blocks in the subconscious mind.
Using the diagonal energy, the Mahan Tantric, Yogi Bhajan, connects his subtle body to the subtle bodies of the participants through the course facilitator. This works the same way as a world-wide telephone system that relies on satellites and electromagnetic energy in order to connect different parties.
White Tantric Yoga should not be confused with black or red tantric. Those form of yoga also transform energy, but in a different way and for different purposes. Black tantric directs the energy to manipulate another human being, and red tantric directs the energy solely for sexual purposes.

The Mahran Tantric
|
|
Yogi Bhajan became a Master of Kundalini Yoga at the age of 16 in his native India. He came to the West in 1968. The authority to be the Mahan Tantric (Master of White Tantric Yoga) was bestowed on him in 1971, when the then Mahan Tantric, Lama Lilan Po of Tibet passed from his body. There is only one Mahan Tantric at any given time.
White Tantric Yoga, as with most ancient Eastern wisdom, was a tradition passed on from teacher to student in a mystical and selective way. As a pioneer of this age, Yogi Bhajan decided to open the experience to anyone who wanted to commit to the discipline.
In 1971 Yogi Bhajan offered White Tantric Yoga for the first time in Los Angeles. Until 1986 he travelled throughout the world presenting as many as thirty workshops each year to thousands of students. In 1987, using his unique abilities as Master, together with modern technology, he began to present White Tantric Yoga as a video-taped series.

Who Can Participate
|
|
There are no prerequisites for participating in White Tantric Yoga. How to Prepare

" Let the spirit soar..."
|
|
Wear loose, comfortable clothing, preferably natural fibre and preferably white (which combines all the colours and enhances your magnetic field and auric strength). Please bring a cotton head covering which can stay securely on your head during the kriyas. Wear shoes that slip on and off easily. White Tantric Yoga is practised with the feet uncovered. Also bring a blanket or sheepskin to sit on and a light blanket to cover yourself with during relaxation periods.
Because this is a cleansing process, you will be asked to drink water. Water will be provided during the day, or you may choose to bring your own.
