Sat naam and hi, I’m Daya Kaur and I have served on the KYTA Board since July 2018.   I am originally from Carlisle in the North of England and currently live in Newbury, West Berkshire.  I have been practicing and teaching Kundalini Yoga for over 20 years.  I trained with Karam Kriya School to KRI L2.  My current KYTA role is Community & Liaison Lead.  In this role I am involved in working with IKYTA, KRI and 3HO to represent the interests of our KYTA Members and the growth of Kundalini Yoga in the UK.  This includes being an active member of a monthly National Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association meeting supported by IKYTA that brings together National Kundalini Teachers Associations from around the World. I also support the work of KYTA generally, actively supporting our Board and any initiatives to better serve our Members.

Gemma Fuge – Finance & Administration Lead

Sat naam, I am Gemma Fuge. I am lucky to live on the beautiful South coast in between Southampton and Portsmouth.  I joined the KYTA Board in June 2020 as Administrator to support the work of KYTA – supporting both our Kundalini Yoga Teacher Members and actively supporting our Board and any initiatives to better serve our Members.  In my current role as Admin and Finance Lead I am also responsible for reporting on the financial position of the organisation to our Board.

Jagvinder Singh – Company Secretary

Sat naam, I have been practising Kundalini Yoga for 15 years. Having been born into a Sikh family, I was drawn to Kundalini Yoga by the teachings and the chanting of Sikh mantras. I was honoured to serve as Chair from August 2021 for a year and now continue to support KYTA as Company Secretary. In my work life I have worked extensively within organisations implementing and introducing strategies to affect change for the betterment of the people and the companies themselves and bring much experience together with a fresh eyes approach.

Sat naam, I have served on the committee for about five years. My role has been to maintain KYTA’s digital platforms including the website, social media and newsletters. Over the last few years I have organised a number of online events and the KYTA Conferences, a role now handed over to our new Events Lead, Lenka. Recently I have taken up the role of Development Lead. Working with Community Liaison Lead, Daya, we are reaching out to members and schools to hear what they need from KYTA. I am also working to create more collaborations, facilitate regional events, and expand on opportunities and benefits for our members. I have been on the Core Team for the Great British Kundalini Yoga Festival since 2019. In 2011, my first year of teaching, I co-founded the Kundalini Yoga Collective. We’re based in London and also run many events in Peru – my native country.
